Of course, easier is simple - to fix the brackets on the opposite walls, tie the ropes to them and hang underwear on them in the old man, climbing the stool. However, those who want to facilitate and speed up this work, I advise you to make a frame dryer with adjustable suspension height. Having dropped it down, you quickly delve linens, and then with the help of a pair of cable and small blocks, fixed at the top, easily raise under the ceiling - where the warmest air, where even with low ceilings, the awesome lingerie will not interfere.

Make it easy. I took the old clamshell. Savoring (you can cut off with chisel) ripples, disassembled all connections. Of the two arcs of the base (if you need a dryer, you use the semi-frames of the base) and the head restraint collected a rectangular frame, connecting their ends with the help of rolling bushings with clamping bolts. The workpiece for obtaining the sleeve was cut on the scan shown in the figure, from steel (you can take brass) plates with a thickness of 1.5-2 mm.
Then everything is completely simple: instead of the cloth, using its stretch springs like hooks, drove 8 ropes along the carcass.

Getting an adjustment
For installation, the dryer secured on the selected wall of the wall (and the ceiling fit) fixed blocks: two - where the device will hang, and another one - dual-on the wall for the convenience of control. Brackets of blocks bent from the steel strips with a thickness of 2 mm, and as rollers used wheels from a toy car with removed tires (you can buy both ready in the construction store).
