Basket made of newspaper tubes

For those who are fond of weaving from the newspapers my master class. I, too, in the past, when I first saw products from newspapers, was simply amazed: how it is possible to create such works of art from the usual newspaper. Well, how and all the fracturing people decided to try to do something from newspaper tubes herself. I confess, the first my product (a vase for sweets) could not withstand any criticism of her husband and was thrown into the garbage, but the second basket for sweets had already attracted the attention of my girlfriends and acquaintances, so I'll show you the master class in her manufacture.

I will describe in detail how to apply a basket from the newspaper tubes.

Well, let's start.

For the manufacture of such a vase from the newspaper tubes it took me:

- 2 Circle cut from the box (diameter depends on the width of your basket)

- PVA glue

- Tassels big and small

- Morilka (I used the oak first, then the red tree)

- Newspaper tubes

- glue stick

- the form you will be tired of your basket

At first I took the circles out of the box and glued to them newspaper tubes in the form of a sun. From above covered all this case by another circle, well-smeared PVA glue. The resulting "sunshine" covered the press from the pile of books and left for 12 hours for full gluing.

Next, I started weaving. On the bottom of the form laid the workpiece and carefully intertwined the newspaper tubes. When the main tube ended, I simply was in its end the next tube, lubricated with glue.

Gradually, I reached the necessary level of the height of the basket, turned her upside down, removed the shape according to which the fled and began to make a side.

Upon completion of weaving, all the ends cut off and, thoroughly smearing the pva glue, was in the walls of the basket.

Then I made the design of the edge of the basket: for this, 6 newspaper tubes joined the clothespin together and began to weave the ordinary pigtail. Next, smeared the moster with glue, secured her clothespins and left for 6 hours to dry.

The most difficult and, perhaps, the long procedure is completed, now the creative part begins. All the basket I cooled with PVA glue for strength. I recommend immediately buy it in a large jar, as it is comfortable to make a wide tassel and to deceive the basket.

When the glue is completely dry, I painted in 3 layers by the veil (each layer must be dried before applying the next layer). Moring dries quickly, and you will not take painting a lot of time.

Morifa you can choose different colors. I first painted the color of oak, but he seemed to me some kind of unspoice, so I put the last layer with a color of a mahogany.

In principle, it's all. The veil is completely dried and the basket is ready. Products after applying PVA glue and subsequent layers of verses acquire a glossy surface, become like lacquers. Although you can try immediately after the glue, put the wood varnish. But I like the Morilka more. By the way, another nuance: the veil should be not water based. Painted on the water - spoiled the product.

And then I will give examples of my work with newspaper tubes, I think who is engaged in this case will appreciate the works of advantage.

The chair was pulled by the newspaper tubes of about 1.5 days + applying glue and veil. In general, the alteration of Stool took 3 days.

The swan from the newspaper tubes took much more time, as it was necessary to build a frame for braid from three-liter banks and pieces of boxes and scotch. But it turned out well. Swan I painted the mourn of oak.

And then various variants of braid flower pots with newspaper tubes and porridge for flowers from newspaper tubes.

I hope you liked my work. Now I work on the candlestick and an unusual weaving of the flower pot. In the near future, ready-made photos will lay out below under the article. So far, successful needlework!

Swan and alteration of the chair just struck me! VERY BEAUTIFUL!!! If it's not hard to make a master class in pictures on the swan weaving and chair. I have an old stool at home, I would like to change the same way. And the swan seems to me quite complicated weaving and without recommendations simply do not cope. Thank you in advance!

Elena, very glad that you liked my crafts. In the near future I will make a master classes on the swan and alteration of the chair, as soon as I finish with candlesticks. And while you try with simple weaving - baskets. I started with her. Successes!

He graduated from making a ship from newspaper tubes. Right here http://dachnaya-zhimn.ru/2013/03/10/korabl-iz-gazetnykh-trubocochek/ You can see the completed option. True, the ship upgraded a little and built a lamp from him, although I think it turned out very well. Waiting for your comments.

Very beautiful work! You are smart! I also decided to try my hand in weaving. I want to ask you how long the smell is kept after the veil. I have been ten days for the Blottle of the BCONE, and the smell as if only painted.

Daclin 03/03/2014 at 17:13

Catherine, it is very strange that the smell will not destroy so long. I painted in summer on the street. Two days later, the basket listed into the house and enjoyed as a product. Morida is common on a water-based wood.

Everything is very cool! And how to do the tubes? I tried according to the information found on the Internet of the Internet ... you could not bend it, and it didn't work out the braid and did not work at all. (((Please share your experience.
