I want to share the small experience that has acquired, working on Earth for more than 20 years.
My native side is the land of Vyatka, non-blackname, or, as they say, the zone of risky agriculture. The more interesting and more expensive the results obtained in our conditions. A lot has to be thought out before Each new season. But it is worth it! We get the first cucumbers at the beginning of summer. And this is despite the fact that frosts in our places end in mid-June!
In the cultivation of cucumbers I adhere to the following. First of all, I buy good seeds - self-polling hybrids with female blossom type. Slowing them into fertile moistened soil at the beginning of April in small cups, I put it in a warm place, covering the polyethylene film. When in a week, seeds germinate, put them on a light windowsill, where, subject to careful care, they quickly begin to grow.
The next stage is a cucumber seedlings with deployed seedlines in polyethylene packages. The sequence is this: the packages cut the corners so that the excess water does not delay in the ground, put on the bottom of a slightly moistened hay, a mixture of humus with the ground, taken from the forest, and peat. And carefully transplant the fat seedlings of cucumbers from small cups in the packages prepared in this way.
Then the packets with a transplant sediment put on small pallets. Cucumbers seedlings do not even notice transplants and continues to actively grow. You ask: why do I put the hay? When I first tried, noticed that with such a wet straw litter, the cucumber produces a huge amount of white small roots and grows very quickly. All these little tricks lead to the fact that during the month until the seedlings of cucumbers are at home in the packages on the windowsill, it grows up to 13.5 mia begins to bloom. If the weather allows, I get it up to the landing in a greenhouse, and there it grows even more actively, since there is no longer a shortage of light in the greenhouse, from which they, of course, suffer from home.
And the last stage. When sustainable heat begins, I transplant already active seedlings into the soil according to the same technology. I dig small pits, put a layer of wet hay, smelling a humus, a small amount of ash and, carefully breaking the package, transplant the blooming cucumber to a permanent place. I usually transplant in the evening so that the temperature in the greenhouse was not very high. I miss warm water well, covering additionally topped with spunbond, which during the first decade after a transplant protects cucumbers from temperature drops. Literally after 10 days, the first Zelents appear, which under favorable conditions and attentive care turn into crunchy, delicious cucumbers.
I have a fence all summer grows grass. In the summer it is dry and fire hazardous. I gathered her rakes, and a whole guard of the hay turned out. Benefit cannot be a circle of structure. The garden was already all planted, remained between potatoes and berries of the land block.
I cast back the land on the bayonet shovel, brought dry grass, laid out, sprinkled a little vitriol, dried up and watered hot water. I fell asleep the earth, I made a bed and closed the film.
A week later, my bed became warm. I made the wells, poured a fruit, mixed with sand and ash, topped with a warm water. Putting cucumbers. The wells covered with drawers, spread the film from above and pressed it with bricks.
On the next weekend, my cucumbers got up - I look, they stand cheerful and strong. I looked a little, opened up to ventilate, watered warm water and before going home, closed again.
I will not write a lot. My cucumbers have grown, drawers I removed. Bloomed and gave a lot of fruits. The plenty even got into potatoes, which served the wall from the wind. I was pleased with the harvest. And when the fall was drunk in the fall, I saw: the grass renewed so that nothing was visible except the Earth.
As we all dream of not soothing, do not loosen them, but only water sometimes and collect harvest! Is it possible? Passmenters say yes. Currency for cucumbers prepare two weeks before landing. Make deep wells (0.4-0.5 m), pour plenty of water, pour good land or compost and pour water again. The wells to do at a distance of 60-70 cm, cover with a black film so that the garden warms up. After two weeks, cut in the film of the hole above the wells in the form of a circle with a diameter of 25 cm (completely the circle is not cut, but to make a "petal"). Seed cucumbers (2 seeds in one hole, different varieties - you can attracted, the depth of seed seeds is 2-4 cm) and cover the well "petal" of the film. When the cucumbers go up, remove the "petal" inside and cover them with transparent plastic caps (the bottle is cut in half and cover germs). Then, when the cucumbers are growing, remove the bottles and cover Loutrasil. Sing cucumbers need three times a week later. When they begin to be fruit, bite with liquid manure.
How does the experience come? Sometimes new techniques come across randomly, sometimes you will see something from the neighbors ... The main thing is the result: a rich harvest and a sense of joy from successful work with the Earth.
I planted the seeds of cucumbers on May 15 directly in the soil, and between two rows, in the middle of the garden, sowed corn. A week later, sprouts appeared, and I poured a bit in every hole a little fruitful, and all the beds climbed the grass with a layer of about 10 cm. Thanks to this weeds, it was almost not there, which means that I didn't have to.
Corn grew very quickly, but the cucumbers did not lag behind. I was directed to the corn, so I did not need any special adaptations of the type of choler or garters. All summer we ate our cucumbers, and in the winter we will be touched by: I put 50 liter cans, and the neighbors distributed.
Ho is the most amazing that in October I shot up to a dozen cucumbers a week!
And that we had enough to make a salad or sleep. Autumn in full swing, and the cucumbers bloom and form marks.
A couple of times over the summer, I watered them with honey (on the water bucket of 3 tbsp. Honey), which, as is known, is a powerful growth stimulator. Sprayed with solutions of fungicides in June and July. Maybe therefore my vegetables have not burned during the heat and did not damage them any kind of malievable dew.
Try to plant cucumbers with corn scenes. I am sure that the result will not disappoint you, because the neighborhood of these two cultures is the present Commonwealth.
We are accustomed to monocultures: beds of carrots, a garden bed, a garden of cucumbers, etc. But the plants can "be friends" and with joint cultivation to give the best crops.
Cucumbers I squeeze very early under the film on two beds. I do three furrows along a variety, fall asleep their land (I buy in the store, but it is possible to compost). The grooves abundantly irrigate. In two extreme sazing cucumbers with dry seeds at a distance of 10 cm - the varieties of Othello, Herman and bush. I fall asleep the same land from the store, abundantly irrigating from the watering can. And in the central groove, sazing seeds of zucchini, pumpkins, celery, astr, beets, tomatoes. Periodically, I open the film and watering all this "Vinegret". In the afternoon I harder shoots. When the seedlings grow up and strengthen, I plant it at a permanent place. Cucumbers leave 70 cm at a distance, the rest is to the market or throughout the garden, where there is a place.
Zucchini and pumpkin take with a lore of the earth and transplant to a permanent place, better in the sun (I put the bush grades, so that there is less space). Everything else that I had in the middle of the beds, I dive throughout the garden. Cucumbers try to reveal early (I do not like to mess with a film). Sometimes they turn yellow, but when the warm weather is installed, it is perfectly restored.
