Slugs in the people are often called snails. In other years of slugs cause great harm to vegetable and berry plants. In addition, they will deal many mushroom diseases. We found a simple way to destroy these pests.
The main way to combat slugs is the layout of traps with the subsequent destruction of the pests who gathered under them. Trappers are trimming boards, plywood pieces / wet burlap. So that the slugs were going on traps, the site on which it was decided to install bait, do not water for 5-7 days (until the upper soil layer gets dry). After that, in dry weather I set traps. We place them around the perimeter and the center of the site at a distance of 10-15 cm from each other, richly watering the lifting ground. Slugs are going to traps in the afternoon, and in the evening you can already collect them.
Good bait for slugs are also pebbles, melons, pumpkins and zucchini. We were laid out in the outdoor time and left for the night. In the morning at dawn "prey" chose from traps and got rid of it.
Destroyed pests in this way: they were scraped with sludge with boiling water and sprinkled with their mineral fertilizers.
We carry out such procedures every 2-3 days - until the traps remain slugs.
So that the slugs do not slip into the site, you need to close the road there. For this, along the border of the site, we embarked in 2-3 lines, at a distance of 15 cm one from another, haired lime, superphosphate or mustard.
There is another way to combat slugs - spraying plants with a decoction of acute podpid peppers. For its preparation of 0.5 kg of pepper crushed dry pods, 10 liters of water are poured, withstand for 2 days, then 1 hour is boiled and for another 2 days insist. The decoction will be tinted and put for storage in a warm room. Apply a decoction for spraying fruit and vegetable plants before the kidneys were blown, before flowering and after it (not the touching flowers). To treat plants before flowering, 0.5 liters of decoction in 10 liters of water are breed, after flowering - 0.1 liters of decoction. The resulting solution is added to the economic soap 40 g.
Probably, slippers are already afraid to drive on our site - they have not seen them for a long time.
