Landing grapes

Preparing a stalk grape to landing. When updating the lower cut, it randomly damaged part of the node. Does such a stalk root or not?

According to traditional rules for the preparation of grape cuttings, it is recommended to make a slice immediately under the node or not lower than 0.5 cm from it.
However, in scientific literature there are numerous recommendations on the conduct of the lower cut through the node, approximately at the level of the diaphragm. Look at the drawing: the bottom node of the diaphragm is complete, the top is not. This is due to the fact that the latter did not have a mustache or cluster. The diaphragms local nutrients are localized, and the roots of grapes are most actively growing.
In addition, there are numerous recommendations when the node is pierced with needles (by 1-2 mm), squeezed, twisted, in general, injured. In response to this, the formation of roots is enhanced. But here you need to know the measure, which is very specific for each particular variety. In the event of an unsuccessful cut or too strong injuries, the cuttings starts from below.
If you briefly answer the question, then in your case (depending on what to understand under the expression "damaged") either intensify the root formation, or hesitates the heel of the cutlets. Time will show.
