Buy Azalia is easy, keeping difficult. Especially in winter. And it is even more difficult to break to bloom in conditions of an ordinary apartment. This was convinced of his own experience. In winter, I brought home the pot with a blooming azalia. She was in itself, as they say, in the commercial form, all already focused with flowers.
But after a couple of days, her well-being in the hot room deteriorated sharply, she began to lose both buds, and already opened flowers. Then I learned that the perfect temperature for Azali from the end of November to the end of January is approximately + 10 ... + 12 ° and even lower. And I have more than 20! I would know earlier that Azalea needs such a coolness in winter, I wouldn't have to get involved. But there was nowhere to go. In some sense, I was lucky, in the same room there were double old frames, which are scary "siphonili" in the winter, and the distance between them was rather wide. I took and put a pot of Azalia there. There was much more cooler, but accounted for all the time to monitor the thermometer so that the temperature did not fall below 8 °. Yes, and sprayed the plant every day, and the lower sheets rubbed. Another secret. I planted Azalia to the clay pot, and placed it in Kashpo, the space between the walls of the pot and Kashpo filled with a raw moss.
That's the winter we survived. For this azalea thanked me with such a magnificent bloom! By the way, during flowering, I did not stop the spraying, but it did it from a very small pulverizer (water fog).
In the summer it became easier. I "walked" azalia on the balcony, left even under the rain - only a strong wind and the sun was not beneficial to her. On the balcony, she stood at me until late autumn (which was warm), but I brought the flower home earlier than the batteries were flooded so that the plant would get used to.
My advice to those who look in winter on the flowering Azalia: do not repeat my mistakes. If there is a cool room for the flow of flower in winter - take, but no - do not torment yourself or a plant. As colors say, this plant is coming only for each second.
Choose a good azalia:
In the store, choose a middle copy: not big and not small. Large plants are difficult to adapt, and young may not have enough strength.
