Echometh striped when disembarking?

I appeal to those who have long been breeding Echmea Strius. In March last year I presented such a beautiful grandmother. She was well bloomed until the middle of the summer. Then two kids appeared on the sides and are already catching up with the sizes of mom. Tell me, please, for what features to determine when they can be separated and disembark? They hold very tight and trample the main plant with the leaves, but attempts to move them do not lead to anything. And they do not want to hurt pain.
In addition, I have a gooseberry in the garden on the garden (at least I thought) suddenly rose a ball like a dandelion. Maybe this is some kind of disease or just the gooseberry turned out to be not a gooseberry at all? We are waiting for your advice and comments.
